Arizona State Parks says Buckskin Mountain allows no dump or fill for unregistered campers, and the same rule applies at River Island, where the dump sits on the SW side of the park across from the ranger station. La Paz County Park, 8 miles north of Parker off Hwy 95, has 114 RV sites with utilities. The county parks site says there are no public dumps at this time.

Across the river, BLM's Crossroads Campground is dry camping with no potable water and one vault toilet. From Parker, cross the bridge north, turn right and drive about 7 miles. Fill and empty your tanks in town first.

Propane at I-40 Exit 9, north of the lake

Where Hwy 95 meets I-40, two truck stops list Exit 9 addresses. Neither lists an RV dump on its location page.

Quick plan for the river

  1. Coming up US-95 from I-10? Dump at the paid stops on Central Blvd in Quartzsite before you head north, or plan around the other I-10 stops across Arizona.
  2. In Parker Thursday to Monday, dump and fill water at Boondocks for $10 to $20.
  3. In Lake Havasu City, pay $20 at Lake Havasu State Park and ask about the entrance fee.
  4. Camping at Cattail Cove, Buckskin Mountain or River Island? Dump on your way out, since it comes with your site.
  5. Leaving on I-40? Fill propane at Exit 9, but empty your tanks before you get there.
