Flagstaff, Williams and Grand Canyon RV dump stations
The Flagstaff RV dump stations we could verify for non-campers are about 30 miles west, in Williams: Love's #553 at I-40 Exit 163 lists an RV dump and bulk propane, and Grand Canyon Railway RV Park sells a dump plus water fill for $25. At the South Rim, the park's free dump sits by Mather Campground.

The free South Rim dump and the park's water limits
The National Park Service lists a free dump station and potable water filling station for RVs next to Camper Services, near the entrance to Mather Campground in Grand Canyon Village. Recreation.gov says the same: Mather has no hookups, so campers use the dump at Camper Services.
Water limits: the park's Oct 19, 2026 update lists Stage 4 water restrictions. Mather is dry camping only, Trailer Village RV Campground is closed, and the Camper Services laundry and showers are closed.
The dump itself: the park's Aug 12, 2026 release said the RV dump and water station at Mather would remain open. The October update doesn't mention it either way, so check the operations page before you count on it.
Rig size: Mather's maximum motorhome or trailer length is 30 feet.
Other rims: Desert View Campground is closed for the season (2027 dates: April 10 to October 15), and the North Rim Campground is closed for the season too.
The park charges an entrance fee separate from camping, so the dump is free once you're inside.
Williams: $25 at the railway RV park or Love's at Exit 163
Williams is the easiest place on this stretch of I-40 to dump without a campsite. Both stops are near Exit 163.
Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, 601 W. Franklin Ave.: the railway's FAQ says water and dump are free for RV park guests and $25 for everyone else, paid at the RV Park Store. The $25 covers both the water fill and the dump. From Exit 163, go south on Grand Canyon Blvd. about 1/2 mile, turn west on Franklin Ave., and check in at the store at Franklin and 7th.
Love's #553, 1055 N Grand Canyon Blvd.: Love's lists RV Dump Service, bulk propane, propane tank exchange, RV friendly parking and overnight parking, and the store is listed as open 24 hours. The dump fee isn't posted, so ask inside. Phone (928) 635-9958.
Forest campgrounds near Williams and Tusayan have no dump
The two Kaibab National Forest campgrounds on the way to the canyon are good places to sleep, but plan your tanks around them.
Kaibab Lake Campground near Williams has no dump station, and Recreation.gov says its water is for drinking only: you can't fill motorhome or RV tanks because supply is limited. Opening and closing dates depend on the weather; call 928-537-8888.
Tusayan-Montane (the former Ten-X), 2 miles south of Tusayan, has no hookups or showers. Pull-through sites fit up to a 35-foot RV, and a single site is $20 a night. RVs can't fill water tanks there, and dumping waste or gray water in the campground isn't allowed. The Forest Service lists the 2026 season as opening May 1, with Recreation.gov reservations through November 30.
In Flagstaff: a campers' dump at Fort Tuthill, propane at Bellemont
Fort Tuthill County Park, 3 miles south of Flagstaff at 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop, has 101 campsites and 4 group areas. Eight RV sites have water and sewer hookups, and there's no electricity or showers. The county's reservation page lists an RV dump station as a campground amenity but doesn't say whether non-campers can use it. Call the park office at (928) 679-8000 (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or the campground at (928) 286-7060.
Directories also list a paid dump at Black Bart's RV Park, 2760 E. Butler Ave. The park's own site posts nightly rates but no dump price, so we haven't added it to the map. Call (928) 774-1912 before you go.
For propane, Pilot #180 at I-40 Exit 185 in Bellemont lists cylinder propane and RV fuel lanes, open 24 hours, (928) 773-0180. Its page lists no RV dump. The Flagstaff KOA and the Grand Canyon/Williams KOA list propane as a paid amenity on their campground pages; ask whether they fill for people who aren't staying.
Coming east on I-40 from the river? The Lake Havasu and Parker dumps are your last verified ones before Williams. Ash Fork's ONE9 at Exit 146 lists no dump.
In Williams, dump at Love's #553 or pay $25 at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park for a dump and a full water fill.
Fill propane at Love's in Williams or Pilot in Bellemont.
Heading to the South Rim, arrive with fresh water, since Mather is dry camping. Check the park's operations update, then dump at the free Mather station on your way out.
Sleeping at Kaibab Lake or Tusayan-Montane? Fill and dump in Williams first. Neither has a dump, and neither lets you fill tanks.

Where can I dump my RV in Flagstaff if I'm not camping?
We couldn't verify a public dump inside Flagstaff on an official page. Fort Tuthill County Park lists a dump for its campground, and Black Bart's RV Park on E. Butler Ave. posts no dump price on its site, so call (928) 774-1912. The closest verified options are in Williams, about 30 miles west: Love's #553 at Exit 163 and Grand Canyon Railway RV Park for $25.
Is the Grand Canyon RV dump station free, and is it open?
The National Park Service lists a free dump station and potable water fill next to Camper Services near the Mather Campground entrance. Its Aug 12, 2026 release said the station would stay open under the water restrictions. The Oct 19 operations update lists Mather as dry camping and Camper Services closed but doesn't mention the dump, so check before you go.
Can I fill my RV water tank at Kaibab Lake or Tusayan-Montane?
No. Recreation.gov says water at both Kaibab National Forest campgrounds is for drinking only because supply is limited, and neither has a dump station. Tusayan-Montane also bans dumping waste or gray water in the campground. Fill and dump at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in Williams for $25, or use the free Mather station inside the park.
How much does it cost to dump at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park?
The railway's FAQ says $25 for anyone not staying at the RV park, paid at the RV Park Store, and that price covers both the water fill and the dump. RV park guests use them at no charge. The park is at 601 W. Franklin Ave. in Williams; from I-40 Exit 163, go south on Grand Canyon Blvd. and west on Franklin.
Where can I get propane near Flagstaff and Williams?
Love's #553 at I-40 Exit 163 in Williams lists bulk propane and tank exchange, and Pilot #180 at Exit 185 in Bellemont lists cylinder propane. Both are listed as open 24 hours. The Flagstaff KOA and the Grand Canyon/Williams KOA also list propane as a paid amenity, so ask whether they fill for people who aren't staying there.
